Q What sort of changes do I need to have approved?

A Any change to the exterior of your lot, including painting, landscaping, and structural changes such as screen enclosures and pools must be approved by the Architectural Committee. If you are in doubt, save yourself some time and headache by running it by the committee first. There is no fee to have the matter reviewed/approved, but if you erect something or make changes that are later not approved, you may be forced to remedy the situation at your own expense. No one on the Board or the committee wants to do that!!

Where do I Get a MailBox Key From?

Q Where do I Get a MailBox Key From?
A From the Realtor, home seller or previous tenant.

If no one has provided you with a mailbox key, you must contact the post officer to find out what mailbox number and slot number to which your home is assigned. The Braemar Board does not know which mailbox slot is assigned to any particular house. The post office may provide you with a key for a charge. If not, you can contact a locksmith for a key after you know your box and slot number or you can go to Home Depot or Lowe's and buy a mailbox lock and key for about $7.  You should take the old lock with you to make sure you get the right kind as there are many variations and they are not all compatible with our mailboxes.  You will need to contact the post office or catch the carrier at the mailboxes to ask them to remove the old lock before you can put the new one on if you plan to do it yourself.

The Braemar Board does not retain keys for the mailboxes.
